YUKI IO – ANALOG PRINT STUDIO

YUKI IO is an artist dedicated to bringing a modern edge to the traditional art of handmade printmaking.

From the very first sketch to the deeply carved plates and the heavy, hand-pressed final execution, her work is a high-energy process where every single piece claims its own unique, unapologetic character.

PRINT EDITIONS

Yukis color-intense linocuts capturing the history of space exploration. From pioneering rocket launches to legendary spaceshuttles and splashdowns, every piece is hand-carved and hand-pressed in the studio.

PRINTING PROCESS

Yuki Io’s space art begins as a hand-carved linocut, created using the reduction printing process. Each colour is printed layer by layer from the same block, gradually building the final image — making every print a unique, handmade impression.

Community & Collective

Art is created individually, yet it comes alive through the many ways it can be seen, felt, and experienced.

Yuki celebrates this diversity — bringing together different voices, perspectives, and forms of artistic expression.

OTHER WORKS & COMMISSIONED ART

Beyond printmaking, my work includes commissioned animal drawings, a ceramic collaboration, analog photography and film.

Selected projects also include a hand-painted Nik Huber guitar for Klaus Meine (Scorpions), featuring an adaptation of an album cover designed by Klaus Voormann, as well as award-winning short films and my involvement in Herbert Fritsch’s intermedia art project hamlet_X.
